ASUS has presented a large series of products at CeBIT in Germany. Among them, the PL30JT business notebook, which relies on a 1.06GHz Intel Core i5 processor, the GeForce 310M graphics chipset from NVIDIA with 1GB of memory and the integrated GMA HD graphics processor from Intel. The operation of the latter two components is overseen by the Optimus technology of NVIDIA. The notebook has a 13.3-inch device with a 1,366×768 resolution and the RAM can go optionally up to 4GB. Glossy as well as matte displays of the notebook will be available.

The hard drives offer includes 640GB units with 5,400RPM or 500GB with 7,200RPM. Optical drives are absent and therefore the weight is kept down to 3.8lbs and the thickness is less than one inch although the device ships with an 8-cell battery. This battery is believed to provide up to 10 hours of mobile operation for the PL30JT. The Turbo33 technology of ASUS will perhaps boost performance by a third. The company has not revealed pricing information or a release date for the notebook.
