On March 10, 2010, at the Game Developer’s Conference, Razer, the gaming peripherals maker, has announced the launch of drivers which will offer Mac users the possibility to play and enjoy all the company’s upcoming products. Mac drivers will also be backtracked and released for the existing products. In order to validate its statement, Razer has already released a Mac driver for the Naga MMO gaming mouse, as well as the Razer DeathAdder mouse, which was especially designed for right-handed gamers.
Until now, Mac support is only available for the Razer Orochi, Razer Mamba and Razer Imperator; more updates will most likely be out sometime in late 2010.
The company’s plans seem to be based on Valve’s launch of the Steam and Source for Macs; the latter seems to be a revival of interest in Apple’s computer lineup, seen as a gaming platform.
