iRiver has recently announced the D1000 – a new e-dictionary, which benefits from various features traditionally found in MIDs and media players. Besides the dictionary function, the new device has Wi-Fi connectivity, web browsing and 720p video playback as well. The e-dictionary offers support for documents, pictures, audio and video formats (including MKV and T-DMB).
The device is composed by a 5.5×3.2×0.7-inch housing, which unveils a QWERTY keyboard and a 480×272 display. The 1350mAh battery is expected to offer 15 hours of life during dictionary use, 28 hours for audio and 7 hours for video playback. The base version offers 8GB of internal storage; 16GB are optionally available.
It is yet unknown if iRiver’s D1000 will be sold outside Korea. The release date, as well as the prices are also unknown.
