Habey has presented the new ultra-compact PC equipped with the Intel’s embedded Atom platform BIS-6620. The new PC has a small 4.5 square-inch footprint and a height of only 1.5 inches. It is considered a very green device with its total power consumption of less than 5.5W. The system is fanless and uses the low power 1.1GHz Atom Z510 processor as well as Intel’s GMA 500 graphics that provides basic 3D graphics and full acceleration hardware features. Habey claims the PC is intended for using as high definition playback in kiosks or other tightly constrained places.

There are two versions of the BIS-6620, both of them featuring either one 1.8-inch SATA hard drive or an SSD drive with a micro-SATA connection and a hot-swap internal standard SATA II and a maximum of 2GB of RAM. Built-in CF and SD card readers provide expandability. Networking uses a gigabit Ethernet port. Differences between the two versions consist mainly in video output and also in peripheral support. While the BIS-6620-I sports a standard VGA out and two additional USB ports, the second model, the BIS-6620-II, offers 4x COM port and a DVI-D connection for video, as well as an optional Wi-Fi upgrade that is also available.

The operating system of the BIS-6620 can be either Linux or Windows, with its versions: XP Embedded, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. Habey does not limit the new PC to professionals and suggests a price of $299.
