At the beginning of February, Fujifilm said that it has designed a 3D Print System for the company’s 3D camera. The new system will be able to print on-location 3D pictures in different locations (for example, in theme parks and tourist spots). It is made of an integrated PC and a 3D printer, using thermal sublimation to transfer photos onto lenticular sheets, for creating the 3D effect. Fujifilm’s new station can produce four different sized prints, from 4×6 to 6×9 inches. It can also print several types of 3D photos; this also includes 3D composite prints, based on 3D templates.

Fujifilm’s 3D Print System is expected to ship starting this spring; the price tag has not been revealed yet. The station is designed for public use, such as at kiosks or businesses, rather than home use.
