On February 15, 2010, along with the Windows 7 Phone mobile OS, there have been seen some images featuring the new version of Windows Marketplace. The initial screen, clearly inspired from Zune’s interface, is used to focus on certain applications. The other screens, subsequent ones, will be used by users in order to access specific applications, sorted by category.
It seems that the new Windows Marketplace will kind of compete with the Windows Mobile 6.5 Marketplace. The former OS is not compatible with earlier applications. It is yet unknown if Zune HD games could be easily transferred to Windows Phone 7 or if they will have to be upgraded significantly.
