ASUS T101MT convertible netbook, spotted, on Christmas Eve, at the FCC, has now gone official, as full specifications are available on ASUS’s website. Information leaked in December is confirmed, as the new netbook has a 1.66Ghz Intel Atom N450 processor and a 10.1-inch LED-backlit multi-input touchscreen, with a resolution of 1024×600. The default OS is Windows 7, which can be used in Starter, Home Basic and Home Premium versions. The standard system has 1GB of RAM; users who choose Windows 7 Premium get 2GB of RAM.
A 320GB HDD is offered for the top model (twice the size of the standard model), as well as 500GB of cloud storage for one year, from ASUS WebStorage. Standard features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and a 0.3-megapixel camera. The battery is expected to provide about 6.5 hours of life; the system weighs a bit less than 2.9lbs. Various types of connections are offered: a VGA port, three USB ports, an Ethernet jack, a headphone and a microphone port. The integrated multi-card reader is able to recognize up to 32GB SDXC cards.
Even if the dedicated product page is already available, there haven’t been made any announcements concerning the price or the release date for the new netbook; the only information says that the convertible netbook will be shipping in black or white versions.
