Digital Storm has recently presented a new flagship gaming PC: Black|OPS. This is a customizable PC, which can have overclocked CPUs ranging from AMD’s Phenom to Intel’s Core i7. All versions of this PC come with Digital Storm’s Sub-Zero Liquid Cooling System, which is able to keep the system stable, with less noise.
All variations have a preinstalled version of Windows 7 and at least a 750W power supply and a minimum 4GB of RAM. The Extreme version features a 3.2GHz Core i7, 6GB of RAM, a 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5870 graphics card, as well as a 1,250W power supply. Another version, Enthusiast, offers a 2.66GHz i7, 6GB of RAM and NVIDIA GTX 285 graphics card. The Performance model gets a 2.66GHz i5, 4GB of RAM and NVIDIA GTX 275 graphics card.
In order to optimize the processor’s, the memory’s and the graphics card’s performance, TwisterBoost Overclocking to the PCs is done in-house; afterwards, the resulting system is tested for stability. The noise is reduced thanks to a dampening material, tuning fan speeds and by adjusting the airflow throughout the chassis. Before shipping to customers, systems are facing a 72-hour stress test.
Black|OPS systems are priced from $1,549 to $3,102.
