On February 8, 2010, InFocus has announced that the DisplayLink Wireless system, used for connecting netbooks to projectors without wires, is now fully compatible with MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air notebooks, as till now, it was only offering Windows support. The USB device, using Wisair’s Ultra Wide Band (UWB) wireless technology, is able to pass through HD video content and also audio. Mac users are now able to control their projectors via the new InFocus DisplayLink Wireless unit.
Before, for obtaining the same level of connectivity, MacBook users had to use a mini-DisplayPort or a mini-DVI to VGA adapter, a VGA cable for their projector and an audio cable as well. The adapter is USB-based on both ends (the projector and the notebook). It has a preinstalled Flash driver, which makes it work without a separate software install; it also has a 128-bit built-in encryption, used to prevent signal hijacking. The maximum range with the other UWB devices is about 30 feet. This type of adapter is compatible with InFocus projectors only.
MacBook-dedicated InFocus DisplayLink Wireless offers support for both Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) and Snow Leopard (10.6). It will be shipping somewhere in March, at a price which will match the current product’s $159 price.

Hey. I have seen a bunch of articles on this “announcement” but one thing that everyone seems to dismiss is that this adapter ONLY WORKS WITH INFOCUS PROJECTORS! It is NOT a universal device.
Also, there is no press release on the inFocus website about this change to the product, nor has the product information been updated to state Mac OS X support.
