The Japanese-based company Eizo has presented its new professional 30-inch display, ColorEdge CG303W. The display features a 2,560×1,600 resolution and a 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angle. The monitor is for professional use and covers 98 percent of the Adobe RGB colour gamut. The gamma adjustments are set by individual workers in factory, before shipping. A calibration can be also made by end-users thanks to the ColorNavigator software included.
Brightness is 260cd/m2, the static contrast ratio is 850:1 and the response time is 12ms. Connectivity is provided by two DVI-D ports, one of them being HDCP compliant, and two USB 2.0 ports also present. The monitor can also be used in portrait orientation and has VESA wall mounts compatibility.
Shipping of the Eizo ColorEdge CG303W will begin in Japan in mid-March. Price is equivalent to about $4,400. Although Eizo displays often go to other countries than Japan, the company does not have international release plans for the moment.
