Verizon has recently announced to begin offering slotRadio+ microSD memory cards. The cards come preloaded with music and will be compatible with most of the BalckBerry smartphones of the carrier. SanDisk has introduced the cards at the preceding CES. Such a card holds 1,000 songs with artists from the Billboard charts and belonging to various genres. The users will also have 4GB of free storage on each card.
Users are required to download and install an application onto their BlackBerry handsets to work with the slotRadio+ card. This card will allow them to establish the connection with Verizon’s V CAST Music and buy a song or a related ringtone on the slotRadio+ card.
Verizon would offer a Billboard Hits card with songs of artists being in the current top of modern rock, dance, Latin, country and hip hop. Billboard Decades contain classic rock, oldies, songs from the ‘80s and the ‘90s.
Shipping of the cards has begun and the price is $50. They are compatible with the Pearl, Pearl Flip, Curve, Storm, Storm2 and Tour.
