Some leaked images have shown the HTC Supersonic handset and there is also a projected date for the launch at Sprint. The handset is almost identical from the physical point of view to the HTC HD2 but is using Android as its operating system instead of Windows Mobile. It has the same 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 1GB of storage. Instead of the LCD of the HD2, the Supersonic has a 4.3-inch OLED capacitive touchscreen.
The Supersonic adds a larger capacity battery as well as an integrated kickstand into the back panel. It uses the same 5-megapixel that can be also found in the Nexus One. The handset would ship with HTC’s Sense UI and would be powered by Android 2.1.
Sprint would receive the HTC Supersonic in its network in March, but pricing details are unknown.

Hey, this looks good. I haven’t seen pictures of the HTC Supersonic anywhere else. Well done.
The brighter AMOLED screen will be much better and use less energy than previous generation TFT LCD screens.
Do we know for sure this device is going to sprint? I know it would seem so but for some reason otehr sites are saying it supports GSM and wimax. If it has wimax though it has to go to sprint
I really hope this information is correct. I’m due for a upgrade 3/1/10. Really glad I didn’t jump to Tmobile for the N1. I’ve been with Sprint for 10+ Yrs.
Wish Sprint would comment/announce this thing, but then they would’nt sale anything else for the next 8 weeks
will htc supersonic have gsm or sim card for internation use . if it will have that would be a big plus.
My uncle works for sprint and yes this is actually being modified design wise as we speak for sprint. It will be one hell of a phone I will do a review on it probably my first vid ever on my Youtube (kzzcyrus) page because I will be getting it the first week it comes out.
