Toshiba’s Satellite E205 notebooks using Wireless Display technology from Intel have begun to ship. The system, first presented at CES, uses Intel’s latest chipset and allows viewing the notebook display on an HDTV with HDMI or Composite inputs. There is a small box connecting directly to the TV set, but no external adapter is needed on the computer side.

The Satellite E205 has a 2010 Core i5-430M processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner and a 14-inch display with 1,366×768 resolution. The display features LED and the keyboard is illuminated too. The whole system is powered by a pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.

The notebook is priced at $900 and is now available from Best Buy. Also included in the price is the Netgear Push2TV adapter.
