An accidental post by Michigan’s Mercy High School has drawn the attention to the old HP EliteBook tablet, which might finally be updated. There is a computer bundle planned for the above mentioned school, giving students an EliteBook 2740p tablet, but the post says that it is known the tablet would not be available until spring. The EliteBook still remains a pro notebook but additional hardware details are not given.
However, one can speculate the tablet would normally have to share some features with the home-oriented TouchSmart tm2: multi-touch and the use of Intel’s CULV processors. When it remains a 12-inch convertible design, the use of mobile Core i3 or i5 processors is unlikely if keeping the price low is a desideratum.
An official unveiling would, of course, remove the mystery and it could come before the spring.
