Chipmaker AMD is believed to prepare the release of the new ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics card early next month and a Radeon HD 5570 in mid-February, as sources at graphics card makers mention. Technical specifications are not yet ready for the new products but some features are already known. The Radeon HD 5450 will replace the current ATI HD 4650/4550/4350 graphics cards, while the Radeon HD 5570 will be a new offer for the mid-range market.
AMD has recently released the high-end HD 5670 graphics chip, replacing the HD 4670. It is DirectX 11-compatible, has 775MHz core frequencies and 1,000MHz memory frequencies, and supports 512MB or 1GB GDDR4 memory.
There is a confirmation from AMD that it plans to release the ATI Radeon HD 5400 and the HD 5500-series products before mid-February. They will both have DirectX 11 compatibility.
