Samsung has recently released three new media phones – the candy bar Shark (S5350), the slider Shark 2 (S5550) and the Shark 3 (S3550). All of them have integrated SNS (Social Networking Services) consisting in shortcuts to social networks such as MySpace, Facebook, Bebo and other favourite sites. Users can, at the same time, quickly upload to sites such as Picasa, Flickr, YouTube or Photobucket.

The three devices also have a Mobile Tracker capable of alerting owners when the SIM card from a stolen or lost handset is changed. A programmable SOS Message can be sent, in case of danger, to a pre-selected emergency contact number.

The Shark has a 2.2-inch screen with a 240×320 resolution and a 3.2-megapixel camera capable of video recording. The 100MB internal memory can be completed with a microSD memory card. There also is 3G network support, Bluetooth 2.1 and an FM radio. A multi-IM application bringing GTalk, AIM as well as Palringo Chat accounts into a single application comes as preloaded software.

The Shark 2 has a changed form factor and sports an AMOLED display of the same size and resolution. The Shark 2 has a slightly increased memory capacity with its 110MB and an integrated FM radio. It also features a 5.1-megapixel camera, a microSD memory card slot and Bluetooth 2.1.

The Shark 3 has a 2-inch screen with a 240×320 resolution, 40MB of built-in memory and a slot for a microSD card. It also sports a 2-megapixel camera, an FM radio and Bluetooth 2.1.

All three handsets are scheduled to launch later this month, but their prices have not been made public as for now.
