FIC has presented its SVE00, although it is not known as an important competitor on the netbook market. The 10-inch system is running on the expected 1.66GHz Atom from Intel’s Pine Trail platform and is unique through its design. The display section is smaller than the netbook’s base and allows users toggle wireless or power without needing to open the lid. The system can run either Windows XP or Linux and an option of either solid-state or rotating drive exists.

The netbook is regularly provided with 1GB of RAM but 2GB are also supported, while the capacity of the SSD goes up to 32GB and the conventional disk goes up to 500GB. There are also built-in Wi-Fi, a multi-touch trackpad and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. There also is a choice of wide-area wireless scaling up to WiMAX or HSPA in areas that support either. A three-cell battery keeps longevity strictly average and is the only choice made public.

Like most companies in the area, FIC does not have an official price for the SVE00 netbook but should make it available in every region. FIC does not usually sell computers directly to the United States.
