The TouchSmart convertible tablet of Hewlett Packard was upgraded to the tm2 version. With a sleeker design, the new TouchSmart tablet has switched from AMD to the low-power Intel Core 2 Duo in order to extend its battery life, which is now up to nine hours, as HP claims. An improvement was also made in video with Mobility Radeon HD graphics. As far as software is concerned, the new version of the tablet keeps using the Netflix touchscreen app present in TouchSmart desktops, the BumpTop sharing app, Corel Paint It! Touch as a tool for basic drawing and a 3D screensaver. A handful of other applications, including Corel Painter Sketch Pad, as well as Windows 7 and the capacitive screen provide multi-touch capabilities in most areas.
Hewlett Packard does not make available exact specifications but promises to ship the new tablet exactly on the 17th of January as well as a minimum price of $949.

more battery life, but no power to run the apps, it will be like running in molasses
