On January 9th, MOTO Development Group presented iPhone as having the best TOUCHSCREEN display. The phone was compared with few Android phones like Nexus One, Droid and Droid Eris. iPhone’s display recorded much more accurate the inputs, being able to draw straight and smooth lines no matter how fast you move the finger or how much it gets in touch with the screen. The next devices in top were the Nexus One and Droid Eris who responded a little bit inconstant; droid responded the same, regardless the contact.
iPhone won the race because it has a small sensor and a high sampling rate being able to process exactly where the finger is it. On the other hand Droid has a low quality sensor which cannot determine correctly the input.
The test has not made Android phones less appreciated. The company who tested the phones, MOTO, suggested that companies should try to develop higher quality hardware and software for their products and should try to develop them in-house as soon as they can.
