At the CES show in Las Vegas, Panasonic presented their professional 1080p 3D camcorder. This new device eliminates the need of any complex 3D system with more than one camera, thanks to its twin lenses. Panasonic has put in a single case all the cameras elements, memory card, lenses and camera head; the whole device having weights under 3 kg.

Users can adjust manually the convergence point, thanks to the twin lens system, according to each situation. For the best 3D recording across a wide range of focal distances it is said that it is necessary to control the optical axes of the camera.

The content is saved on the SD/SDHC memory cards and can be accessed by connecting the camera to a Mac or to a PC. At this time Panasonic is trying to create devices that will save the 3D content directly on 3D Blu-rays.

The new 3D camcorder will be available starting with this fall at a price of $21,000.
