Like many others companies, Canon released at CES in Las Vegas four PowerShot A-Series camera: the A3100 IS and the A3000 IS, A495, A492. These cameras surprised the audience in more than one way; most surprising being the range of the ISO which can be set up to 3200 and the compatibility with SDXC cards. They will appear in March and they will have a capacity of 2TB.

The best cameras of the A-Series, A3000 and A3100, have a 2.7-inch LCD display and a 4x optical zoom with optical image stabilization. The 3100 model has a 12.1-megapixel sensor while the 3000 a 10-megapixel sensor. A release date for the two models is promised around the end of February at a price of $180 and $150.

The A490 will cost $110 while the A495 $130, but both of them will have a 2.5-inch LCD, a 10-megapixel sensor and a 3.3x optical zoom without image stabilization. The difference between them is that the 490 do not have special effects like Super Vivid and Poster.
