Blu-ray players with extra Internet features from LG

LG has suggested at its CES plans that it would update its Blu-ray players. The company did not give details of the hardware included in the players but claimed significant expansion of the online features apart the already existing Netflix, CinemaNow, YouTube and Pandora options. According to the Korean company, the players would let users download movies and music and create their own library that is searchable by metadata, such as the album name for example. Current players have built-in Wi-Fi and support BD-live added to the Internet-only content.
LG is expected to provide further information about the new features of the Blu-ray players at its CES keynote as well as its own show.
