Viliv plans to present two new notebooks at CES in January nest year, at the Las Vegas show.
The first device, the N5, is the most advanced of its notebook-style Ultra Mobile Personal Computing, with a very dense 4.8-inch screen with a 1,024×600 resolution and sporting 3G and GPS. The N5 is meant to serve as a full computer and will run Windows 7. It uses a Pine Trail Atom or a 1.2GHz Atom Z515 processor, the latter being an older and at the same time lower-powered model. Launch information is expected to be provided at CES.
At CES, Viliv also plans to present the S10, a netbook-like device with a 10-inch multi-touch pivoting screen, powered by a 1.3GHz Atom processor, with a 32GB solid-state drive and running Windows 7. The S10 will have 3G as an option, but it is not sure it will have GPS too.
Other devices will also be presented at CES. The P3 is an OLED touchscreen media player running both Android and Windows CE. The HD5 is a video player with a five-inch screen and support for 1,080-pixel video and running Windows CE.
It is not known if Viliv will release the N5 and the other products directly in the United States or will use the services of an importer.
