The AT-LP60-USB LP-to-Digital Turntable System has been introduced a few days ago. It is meant to allow its users to convert music that is recorded on vinyl discs to digital media files. The turntable is delivered together with a phono cartridge, a USB cable and software compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows computers. A phono preamplifier is built-in and playback speeds of 33.33 or 45RPM can be selected.

The turntable can be easily integrated into recently-made home audio systems lacking a phono input thanks to the RCA outputs and a RCA-to-3.5mm adapter that is included. The turntable has a heavy-duty cast aluminium platter, a pickup arm provided with soft damping control and a Dual Magnet stereo cartridge with the possibility of replacing the stylus.

Audacity is the bundled software, which lets the converted files to be played back on users’ own media players or on other devices. The software provides audio editing tools that allow users to remove noises and clicks.

The AT-LP60-USB will ship in January and will be priced at $229. A version of the turntable without a USB port or software included, named the AT-LP60, has the price of $149 and is already available.
