Acer has launched three CULV notebooks, the 8371, 8471 and 8571, all of them with relatively high speed and 8 hours of battery life. They are all equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processors and are weighing about 3.5 pounds, which means they are relatively light weight. They measure about 1.1inches thick.
The larger models 8471 and 8571 have 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays, respectively. They both have a 1.3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 3GB of RAM, a hard drive of 250GB and a DVD burner. Both of them come with a 32-bit version of Windows 7 Professional and a Windows XP Professional disc as an option. The price of any of these notebooks is $899. The 8371 model is more expensive than the other two and has a 13.3-inch display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and has 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive. These features added to the 8471 and 8571 models make them cost $999. All three models have HDMI output, 8002.11n Wi-Fi, a multi-format card reader and a multi-touch trackpad. They are already shipped by Acer.
