Art Lebedev Studio, the creator of Optimus Maximus, has recently presented a new camera design which intends to change the conception of the well-known box-shaped body. The Fleximus resembles to a goose neck with a lens and a sensor situated at one end and a small viewfinder at the other end. The eyepiece can easily be detached and replaced with a full-sized preview LCD, as well as with basic controls.

It is still unknown if the Russian designers will turn the camera into a mass-production device. The studio usually offers some of its concepts for the production of usable hardware, but only if demand exists and if the hardware can be technically produced.

Moreover, Art Lebedev Studio has designed the Transparentius, which is a concept for a road safety system. This could show the view of a camera at the front of a rig truck through several screens situated on the back doors, in its cargo space. This system could allow drivers immediately behind the truck to see when it’s safe to pass or if there is a stop coming up ahead.
