ASUS has launched a new set of Pine Trail Atom-based PCs and promise that these new models will make a difference in the company’s name. The 1005P and the 1005PE models have a similar design, the 1005PE model having a greater performance that the 1005P model. Bigger changes can be observed inside, a 1.66GHz Atom N450 processor speeds up the performance and give the battery a 12 hour lifetime.
The PE model will have a 250GB hard-disk memory and Bluetooh connections while the P model, a hard-disk of only 160GB. These are the only differences, both models having a 10-inch display; 1GB RAM memory, a GMA 3150 video processor and both will run on Windows 7 Starter.
The new models are expected on the market after CES, around January 11th, in two colors, black and white, at a price of £211 approximately $343 and £235 approximately $381 according to a UK retailer.
