New Android SMARTBOOK from Notion with Pixel Qi display

Notion Ink promise to launch on the market the first SMARTBOOK that runs on Android and it will have 10.1-inch Pixel Qi transflective display. It has a TOUCHSCREEN technology and a maximum resolution of 1024×600 pixels with a good readability outside as well as inside.

For 1080p HD movies and games the device is equipped with an NVIDIA Tegra T20 chipset and for wireless connectivity the device will have a Bluetooth 2.1, a Wi-Fi connection as well as a tri-band UMTS HSPA radio.

You can make photos and record videos thanks to its 3-megapixel camera with autofocus and for external expansion the device has a 3.5mm audio port and only a USB port. The device will have integrated also a GPS, and accelerometer and proximity and ambient light and water sensors. The SMARTBOOK will weight 1.7lbs and it will be available in 32GB or 16GB versions with a SD card slot for backing up.

The display is said to have an anti-glare, scratch-resistant and oil-resistant coatings and users will be able to navigate on the device using a trackpad or using TOUCHSCREEN gestures. In standby the battery will last up to 48 hours, 16 hours in browsing the internet over Wi-Fi and 8 hours of HD playback.

The price and the release date are unknown and because of its large list of specifications Notion Ink may offer some subsidies.
