LG eXpo has recently appeared on AT&T’s website, a little more than a week after its promised release date.

The new mobile phone is running Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional; it uses a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 480×800 and a full QWERTY keyboard for data input. The main element of the phone is its 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, completed with a Smart Sensor fingerprint sensor, used for a better security. LG’s eXpo has an onboard 5 megapixel flash camera. The internal memory can be extended by up to 16GB, thanks to the microSDHC memory card. Users can also have access to navigation features through the integrated GPS sensor.

The eXpo will be available at AT&T, at a price of $200, with a two-year contract and after a $100 mail-rebate. It can also be bought at $450, with no contract obligations. There is an optional pico projector, produced by Texas Instruments, which will not be available at AT&T in the beginning; it will be priced at approximately $180. The phone’s name is different in Canada – the IQ – and will be available through Telus.

The weird thing is that I have not seen this phone anywhere in AT&T stores. I have not checked the local AT&T store yet since I’m waiting for them to restock tomorrow. I went online and it said it was released Dec. 7th and on some forums, people have said that it is out. The weird thing was that when I asked for the phone, at another area, they said it will be released on Jan 7th. I’m hoping that tomorrow when I go to my local AT&T store, they will surprise with the LG Expo.
