VNB102 ViewBook has opened a new perspective for ViewSonic, the North American company, by its launch. It is a 10.1-inch netbook, which uses a 1024×600 LED-backlit panel and it seems to be one of the few netbooks to be released with Windows 7 Starter Edition.

The netbook comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, a 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard disk. Other notable features include an integrated Wi-Fi connection, a VGA output through which users can connect to external screens, a 3-in-1 card reader and three USB integrated ports. The battery autonomy can offer up to six hours of continuous usage, thanks to its six cells.

ViewSonic’s VNB102 is expected to come out on December 18th and will most likely be priced at $399. The American company has also promised to launch other ViewBook versions in early 2010.
