The $99 notebook from Cherrypal

The company wants to crush the market with the release made on December 15th of the cheapest notebook in the world, Africa. The notebook targets the developing countries but also the developed countries and has this small price thanks to its 7-inch display, a processor of only 400MHz, 256MB RAM memory and its 2GB storing capacity.

His bigger brother, Bing, is at the other pole, and it is using a 1.6GHz Atom processor, with a 1GB RAM memory and a 160GB hard-disk memory. Its display has a resolution of 13.3-inch and a 1.3-megapixel camera integrated. The computer has Windows XP preinstalled and can be connected to a wireless network thanks to its 802.11g Wi-Fi and you can find even a card reader on board. The laptop is available for sale at a price of $389.
