Belkin’s short-range wireless streaming production line has a new device: a Bluetooth Music Receiver. The adapter transforms the audio from any Bluetooth device supporting A2DP stereo format, which includes various types of cellphones too (like iPhone) and portable media players recognizing the standard (like the second and third-generation iPod touch). The range, limited to Bluetooth’s 33 feet standard, seems to be enough for listening to wireless music in the same room.

Belkin offers the receiver alongside with some cables, which can be plugged into a 3.5mm jack (the same as for PC speakers), an aux-in jack or an RCA connector for stereo components used at home.

The accessory maker is already shipping the device in the USA, for a price of $50 and expects to deliver it to other parts of the world somewhere in March.
