On December the 16th Samsung launched on the UK market the new type of memory cards. These new cards, CF plus and SD plus are special created to resist underwater up to 24 hours without being damaged. The tough structure of the cards makes them capable to rezist to a magnet 13 times stronger than a magnet used in an audio home system speaker and also to resist to mechanical shocks.
The cards, according to the company, can store data with no problems up to 10 years without refreshing them. With the cards, a software for data recovery is provided that is three times more efficient than any other conventional software.
You can find the cards in two colors; with a natural beige epoxy or in a silver metallic touch. Samsung made the cards available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacity with a read speed of 17MBps for the microSD cards and a 45MBps read speed for the CF cards.
The prices for the memory cards were not announced by Samsung. They are now available in the Western part of Europe, UK, France and Germany and in short time the cards are going to be available in new other countries.
