A new product belonging to the MobileOffice scanner line has been presented by Plustek Technology, the D428 4×12 scanner. It can handle almost everything form document imaging to content management applications and is meant to be used in mall and large home offices, pharmacies and banks. It provides a maximum 600dpi resolution and the scanning speed is up to 2.2 seconds per page or 28 pages-per-minute. A wide range of media and page sizes is supported by the scanner. Users are enabled to scan items as thick as a credit card. Scanned items can be sent to e-mail or saved in different formats, such as TIF, BPM, JPG, or PNG, and also Word and Excel documents. The scanner can work with various document imaging applications and allows one-touch scanning to a number of maximum nine different programs or locations.
The new D428 Plustek scanner is planned to be unveiled at CES 2010 and will have a price of $350.
