Samsung released in Korea, on December 9, 2009, an 8-inch digital picture frame – SPF-800P. Its display, which is LED-backlit, has a resolution of 800×480, with 2GB of integrated storage memory, which can b extended through the microSD memory card reader. SPF-800P also includes built-in speakers and is compatible with MP3 formats for audio playback, but also with video files.
The frame benefits from a Bluetooth synchronization feature, which allows users to listen to music, with help of compatible headsets. Spf-800P is “environmental friendly”, thanks to a mercury and lead-free LED panel.
The frame has already been released in Korea, being priced at $170, with a 10-inch model coming out soon. The company hasn’t yet mentioned if the frame will be launched in the USA too.
