More detailed information about the HTC’s Bravo handset and its future US release schedule has been made public recently. As promised, the phone sports a 3.7-inch touchscreen and keeps some styling lines from the Touch2. I t seems to lack physical navigation controls, but uses an optical trackpad. Previous rumours indicated it would feature 720-pixel video playback, GPS, 3G and Wi-Fi. The use of Android 2.0 or later version is almost certain.

Some rumours also indicate a weird first introduction for the smartphone in the United States, compared to HTC’s European and Asian launchings. The Taiwanese Commercial Times newspaper reveals that the Bravo smartphone would show up on the American market under the name of Passion and would ship in January next year in a CDMA edition in the Verizon network. The reference Bravo is expected to ship not earlier than in April, when it would reach Europe in the T-Mobile network.
